
Summary
Yelda Özsunar is Professor of Radiology at Adnan Menderes University School of Medicine since 2008. She graduated from Gazi University School of Medicine, Ankara, in 1992. She has completed her radiology residency at same university in 1998. During her radiology education, she worked at the University of Copenhagen, Herlev Hospital, Denmark for 6 months supported from NATO fellowship programme. After her graduation of Radiology, she worked as scientist at Yale University, Radiology Department, Functional MR Imaging unit, New Haven, USA and as neuroradiology research fellow at Harvard Medical School, Massachusetts General Hospital, Radiology Department between 1999-2001.
She recived the Certification of European Board of Neuroradioloy in 2009. Her clinical research has primarily focused on diagnostic imaging for functional imaging of brain, including perfusion and diffusion imaging.
She has published over 71 international and 25 nationally published articles or book chapters. She also has many national and international published book chapters in neuroradiology fields. She presented more then 15 international and numerous national invited lectures. The number of international citations has exceeded 1400 according to SCI and over 1600 according to google academics. Dr. Özsunar speaks fluent English. She has an internationally published popular science book called ‘Universal Symphony’. She was the co-editor of an internationally published book by Springer called ‘Atlas of Clinical Cases on Brain Tumor. She has several international colloborations including COST action. Currently besides her radiology duty, she works as the dean of nursing faculty and as a scientist at her own R&D Company called ‘Universal Symphony Healt Garden’ located at the technocity of Adnan Menderes University.
