Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar 

Summary

 

Prof. Dr. Yelda Özsunar, MD, after graduating from Gazi University Faculty of Medicine in 1992, completed her Radiology residency at the same University. During her radiology training, she was at the University of Copenhagen and after residency at Yale University, 1999-2001 and at Harvard University Medical School in 2007, at Great Ormond Street Hospital in London in 2013, at Oxford University Biomedical Medicine in 2017.

She did academic and scientific studies in the field of Neuroradiology (Brain Imaging) in Engineering. She continued her academic studies in the field of Neuroradiology, where she became Associate Professor in 2003 and Professor in 2008 at Adnan Menderes University Faculty of Medicine, where she still works. European Board of Neuroradiology Certified Prof. Özsunar Dayanır is still an active member of Turkish Radiology and Neuroradiology, Magnetic Resonance Society, European Neuroradiology, and also works in the publication committee. In addition, 2018-19 Congress Scientific Arrangement of the European Society of Magnetic Resonance and Biology

She served on the committee. She is a referee for many international journals.

Prof. Dr. Özsunar has 72 international scientific articles, mostly in the field of neuroimaging and neuroscience, indexed and published in SCI, two international books named “Brain Tumor Imaging Atlas” and “Universal Symphony”, over 25 national publications published in peer-reviewed journals, and published It has many scientific book chapters, book translations, over 1400 SCI and 1600 Google Scholar citations. Fluent in English, Dr. Özsunar has spoken at many national and international meetings as an invited guest. The author has a musical popular science book called "Universal Symphony", a national book called "Neuroscientific and Clinical Approaches in Hypnosis", of which he is the editor, and columns on popular science, environmental and philosophy of science published in many newspapers and magazines. prof. Dr. Özsunar worked on the Glioma MR 2.0 imaging project as the short-term scientific mission committee (STSM) leader in the European Union COST projects. He takes part as a trainer and examiner in European Neuroradiology Association Board trainings or exams. Dr. Özsunar still works as a faculty member responsible for students in the Faculty of Nursing Dean's Office and ADÜ Rector's advisory board, and continues scientific research and R&D activities in the Biotechnology company he founded, Universal Symphony Health Garden at ADÜ Teknokent.
